Project Story
The lodge is dispersed rather than singular. Guest rooms sit in small clusters connected by shaded walls, making the journey through the site part of the experience.
Earth from the excavation was tested and compacted into the walls, reducing transport while giving each surface the exact colour of the ground around it.
Courtyards catch winter sun, pergolas filter summer light and roofs release stored heat to the clear night sky.
