Context is not a style. It is the set of conditions a building has to answer: prevailing wind, water, slope, neighbours, ritual, craft available within a day's drive.
Reading a site slowly
We visit at different hours and in different weather before proposing anything. The quiet observations — where people already walk, which corner stays cool — tend to survive into the final plan.
Local building traditions are studied as technical solutions rather than references. A thick wall or a shaded court exists for a reason.

Belonging without imitation
A contemporary building can belong to its place without copying it. Proportion, orientation and material sourcing carry more of that belonging than ornament ever will.
When the response is right, the architecture feels inevitable — as though the site had been waiting for it.
